About Theresa's work...

The Lost Children is a dark crime novel based on the real life events surrounding the closure of Glasgow's Magdalene Institution. It's the first in a  three part trilogy featuring investigative journaist Oonagh O'Neil.  Oonagh is in no way based on Theresa as Oonagh drinks and has nice hair.

This Is What I Look Like is a memoir - said by some to be funny.

Theresa’s new career as an author has attracted the attention of the press, with features in The Sun, The Daily Record,  and The Irish Times among others.... She was also a guest on Radio Scotland’s ‘Off The Ball’; Scotland’s most petty and ill-informed football programme, where presenters Tam Cowan and Stuart Cosgrove more than met their match!

Glasgow Crime Writer Denise Mina described The Lost Children as 'A brilliant debut by a writer who spins an unputdownable tale.'

Kaye Adams says  ‘Theresa’s humour is infectious – so is her enthusiasm for life’ while comedian Fred MacAuley says ‘Theresa is friendly humorous and thoughtful – and so is her writing’

Current events and projects

Theresa has appeared at the Tidelines Festival, Pitlochry Winter Words Festival, Bloody Scotland and Aye Write. As a journalist and presenter she's regulary asked to chair author events and signings including Christopher Brookmyre, Peter May, David Mitchell and Nick Frost.

Theresa is available for readings, residencies and workshops and can talk on a variety of subjects including comedy writing, creative writing, radio broadcasting & production, gardening, music ...oh and cats. She knows about cats. She also makes very good soup, but it would be a  bit weird if you asked her to come and make soup.
